Mukhya Mantri Lok Sevak Arogya Yojana (MMLSAY): Ensuring Health Security for Assam's Government Employees and Pensioners

The Government of Assam has introduced the Mukhya Mantri Lok Sevak Arogya Yojana (MMLSAY) to provide comprehensive medical reimbursement for state government employees, pensioners, and their dependents. Key Features of MMLSAY:

  • Comprehensive Coverage: MMLSAY offers medical reimbursement to government employees, pensioners, and their dependents at rates aligned with the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS).
  • Online Portal for Convenience: Beneficiaries can register and manage their medical reimbursement claims through an online portal, streamlining the process and ensuring transparency.
  • Automatic Enrollment with Opt-Out Flexibility: All state government employees are automatically enrolled in the scheme, with monthly contributions deducted based on their grade. Employees have the option to opt out if they choose.

Subscription Details:

  • Monthly contributions are determined by the employee's grade, as outlined below.
  • Pensioners contribute based on their grade at retirement and can opt for annual or lifetime (equivalent to 10 years) contributions.

Registration Process:

  1. Online Registration: Visit the official MMLSAY portal and complete the registration by providing necessary details such as PAN, Aadhaar, contact information, and bank account details.
  2. Validation: The respective Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) will validate the provided information.
  3. Unique ID Generation: Upon successful validation, a unique ID is generated, and beneficiaries receive an MMLSAY e-Card.

Claim Submission:

Beneficiaries must submit medical reimbursement claims within 90 days of hospital discharge. Claims can be submitted online through the MMLSAY portal or with assistance from district kiosks located in the offices of the District Commissioners.
